Custom Cabinetry
One of our favorite things to do is to build custom cabinets for your home. Crafted using traditional woodworking techniques in our Iowa City shop, our cabinets are built to last for generations. We work with a wide range of styles, wood species, features, and finishes that will match the vision of your space.
Kitchen and Bath Remodels
Since custom cabinetry is our specialty, it follows that we also love kitchen and bath remodels. In addition to the woodworking, our projects feature custom counter tops, tile, new plumbing fixtures, and LED lighting. We work with local suppliers and trades to bring all the pieces together to create your perfect kitchen or bath.
Renovations, Additions, and New Homes
Whether you need to remodel a bathroom or strip the entire inside of your house down to the studs and start over, Modern Roots has years of experience rebuilding homes. Sometimes your house is simply not big enough and you need an addition. Or you may want to start over completely with an all new home. Our in house team of designers, builders, and project managers can handle any type of job, big or small.
Historic District Homes
Navigating the remodeling permit process in historic districts can be a challenge for anyone who has not gone through the experience. Fortunately we have designed and managed many projects from additions to historic renovations.
